English Muffin Bread

cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- ½ tablespoon white sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup warm milk
- ¼ cup water
Add yeast, sugar, warm water and warm milk to mixer. Add
remaining ingredients, but only 2 cups flour. Mix with dough hook until it
comes together. Slowly add remaining flour until dough is soft and pulls away
from sides of bowl. Remove dough hooks. Cover and let rise 1 hour, or until
doubled in size.
Spray two bread pans with cooking spray. Dust with cornmeal.
Shape dough into two loaves and place inside pans to rise. Cover with towel and
let rise 1 hour, or until doubled.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake bread for 10-14 minutes.
Once bread is cool, slice and toast before serving. Top with
butter, jam, etc.
